Ashen ghosts of a former life
Just finished proofing the text for my short story The Violin, from which the title of this post is derived. It will be included in the 2012 Short and Twisted anthology from Celapene Press which I believe will be out around June.

Callan Park
I was out shooting on Sunday with Matt and we were exploring Callan Park, an old, semi-abandoned mental hospital in Sydney. While there I snapped a shot I’m rather proud of.
The shot is titled Bowling and it has quickly become one of my new favourites. It shows the hospital’s old bowling green (which is now just lawn) and the rather sad and lonely clubhouse that once overlooked it. It’s...

The Violin
Just found out that my short story The Violin is going to be included in an anthology of short horror/thriller stories to be published mid-year. More details when I have them.

Hyde Park
Had a lovely Australia Day yesterday with Jade and Matt. After enjoying some of the fine festivities Sydney had to offer we went to Hyde Park and checked out my photo which was on display. Not a bad gallery to have your work showcased in, as I’m sure you’ll agree although they did spell my name wrong on the winners display!

Australia Day
Jade and I attended the Australia Day Presents function today where my photo of a Silver Gull in Circular Quay picked up an award and will be featured on a stamp from Australia Post later this year. Was a great event hosted by Kate Ritchie and with performances from John Williamson. You will also be able to see the photo in Hyde Park this Australia Day.
